Origin of Cyclean
Recognizing the substantial energy consumption associated with proof-of-work (POW) mining, especially evident in the excessive use of high-performance computers, the CyClean team delved into addressing these environmental concerns. The hash rate for the Bitcoin network reached 250 exahash per second (EH/S) by the end of 2022, incurring a staggering cost of approximately $12 billion for the necessary computing power.
Acknowledging the limitations and environmental threats posed by the prolonged use of high-performance computers, the coin ecosystem shifted towards the more energy-efficient proof-of-stake (POS) method. This shift gained prominence when Ethereum, a leading blockchain project, boldly transitioned from proof-of-work (PoW) to proof-of-stake (POS) through "The Merge Upgrade" in September 2022, marking the initiation of Ethereum 2.0.
In response to these changes and concerns within the coin ecosystem, the CyClean team pioneered research into an eco-friendly coin ecosystem. Introducing Proof of Movement (POM) as an alternative to both POW and POS, this method rewards efforts directed at "returning to the clean Earth from the beginning" (Earth CyClean Movement - ECM) and "becoming a clean, healthy person" (Person CyClean Movement - PCM). Together, they form the CyClean Movement.
The team recognized a societal imbalance where good deeds often lack recognition compared to criticism for mistakes. To challenge this, the CyClean project was initiated, launching CyClean products and emphasizing a commitment to doing good for the Earth and its inhabitants. Compensation in the form of CyClean coins is distributed through the "CyClean Movement," turning coin mining into a green initiative.
